oh really?? wow thanks
Okay I have it plugged into only ethernet and power and it says unidentified network no network access. Can
Its not giving me network access so I looked at the details and the ipv4 address is 169.254.153.37?
Please take a look at the attachment
So this obviously means that the DHCP server is messed up and its probably bricked. So that means I need t buy a jtag and fix it the only problem is, is that what jtag and how do i put it together. I looked at a couple forms and they say either black cat jtag or jtag nt is what to buy.
disable your wireless connection (always take the simple crap out of the equation), try setting a static ip on your wired connection
if still not seeing the modems webpage, reflash it with a backup 2mb dump
next post will be......Hey, my 6120 showcase cfg doesn't work,,,,wtf?

lol

when you get back into hax, change your nic mac and do a putty bootlog and then plug in the coax so we can tell you WHY you won't get an ip
..

Didnt I say what the issue was? Disconnect the COAX and you can get an IP. Your in new security...

I h8 saying this, but, it can be done to fix it...Good Luck!!
I did unplug the coaxial cable and that didnt work.
So since this isn't working, I'm probably going to purchase a jtag so I can reflash haxorware onto it. And I will buy I jtag as soon as I know how to connect it to the modem and my computer.
whats so hard about working out how to connect the jtag cable
do you have a parallel port?

if yes try a crappy jtag cable, if no it's a usb blackcat or usbjtag nt

the modem side is just a 10pin header (so no real worry)
Some more pictures...
ok thanks
What I dont understand is that at USBJTAG.com i looked at there jtag NT and the pictures shows like 14 pin header things and my modem only had ten. But the USBBDM NT had 10 pin header thingys and so does my modem. The website says that your suppost to use JTAG NT for SB5101???
you just use the first 10 pins of the 14pin header
oh ok cool imma buy one
i'll say it better, the only pin you need to worry about is pin1 (it's marked on the jtag)
on the 5101 it's also marked as a square around the hole (bottom left on the empty header marked tck in the pic)
