hi guys,,,i purchase 5 5101 ..they all have the problem that the ethernet port wont work..if i us the usb it does workkk..
any that knows how to fix the problemmm
like what capacitor , or surface mount to replace,,,

5 to many,but try to flash haxorware in one and see what is going on
I have a few back in the days with that kind of problem never able to fix them.
I had the same problem on a SB5100. I replaced the Ethernet port but that didn't help. I finally gave up and got a SB5101. Later, I found a website that described how to fix the problem. I think it was a capacitor. I didn't bother at that point. If I find the site I'll post it.

Just grab another 5101. They're almost free on Ebay. Nowhere near worth the hassle to attempt to repair the port.

They don't confirm which component and whether it will work but just to give you a better idea. I might try this myself. Since my good Ethernet SB5100 crapped out.
