you would fuck your TV and other shit but the service tap/splitter has an ac blocking diode so mainly just your shit gets fucked if its not protected.

Actually, where your wire enters the box in the street, is where you burn out. You wont even bug a neighbour. And this is without any splitter.. see, i found that when a mac was banned, if i fed 5v into coax, left it over night, next day, mac came back on, see, a lower voltage would not blow your only access to the outside world (no, they wont replace it unless your neighbours die too), but creates a scenario where the error logs would be overloaded at the cmts, them most likely being on a rotational wipe at a certain size, clearing any log of your banned mac. It worked here when i tried it, I did blow my line, nipped down to the box, swapped cable with the immigrant downstairs, he's off, i'm happy.
