Full Version: Arris A1670 Password of the day , SSH enabled.

I have an arris A1670 , which i was able to log into advanced mode with the password of the day. Now i want to enable ssh but in some search on google they said to log into a hidden html " http://192.168.100.1/cgi-bin/tech_support_cgi" and i tried it page came back "Not Found"

any one know how to enable ssh on this arris ?
What firmware?

I tried that as well it didn't work for me like old firmware did on ARRISTM822A
makes me wonder if they just deleted the webpage/setting and hosting your own copy of the old page will still work (like you could with the webstar firmware update page)

You're right I flashed old firmware ontop of new one and it worked haha nice...

You're right I flashed old firmware ontop of new one and it worked haha nice...

i can not flash this modem is an spi chip. I wonder if they deleted the page setting or the changed it . i will be soo happy if im able to get it into ssh so i can get the keys.

the one i had was a arris tm822a i tried

so i dumped the firmware from a arris that had that page and flashed it ontop of the one that didnt and worked
i dont know if thats what u are trying to do

yea is a nand chip. So i cant read the nvram. i cant find much help around .

i dont know if thats what u are trying to do

using the modem with the page, login and open said page
switch modems to the one without the page, and open a new tab and login
go back to the old tab and try to enable ssh

(personally i would also sniff the above with wire shark and compare the responses maybe a simple session key swap may be needed)
