arris has corrected the identification of the MAX3518 PGA type on the REV4 boards, so by default they report correctly as MAX3518. this only applies to boards that have refurbished by arris beginning on a particular date, or boards produced toward the end of the production cycle in 2016.
what this means is those 'newer' REV4 produced boards will automatically have the correct PGA selected after a forceware flash.
small potatoes though, since arris has ceased production of the sb6141 as it is discontinued.
