spi is a pita if you're like me and hate soldering little tiny shit. Grab a 5101/dpc2100r2 instead and just jtag them. soooo much easier IMHO

soldering fuck that, hot air and an smd proto board removes all the hard work

hai fellows,im back please recommend me an IC(Integrated circuit)that comes with a jtag circuit which will help me flash my DPC2100R2 and R3 modems i don't mind weather it takes two different IC's for both the modems.but it will be more preferable if one can be used to flash both,i see only minor differences between both when i opened them.

I researched about this in Google and found that i have some local dealers in my area,but i can't specify to them the technical specs of the jtag circuit required,they ask me weather ARM,AVM or.... stuff like that(which i have no knowledge about).So please give me the technical specs of the jtag circuit(s) that is require weather AVM,ARM,SPI......

look on google for a jtag schimatic using an atmel at90usb162 (these are cheap if you get an old maximus ps3 jailbreak dongle or similar, maximus ones have all the pins broken out so easyer conversion)

anyways once built you can flash/use it with blackcat usb software (in thoery never tested it but the atmel i's the chip on a BCusb)
