Newbie, help please - dsswonderman - 13-10-2012
Totally new in this field, I had Comcast Infinite TV service (Digital Starter) in my Apartment (1 coax line from the wall),
I just bought this:
RCA DCM315 Premod Cable Modems
Features the same Processor as the SB5100
Premodded with SB5100mod 1.0.4 Diagnostic Firmware
Once connected to the modem the SB5100Mod 1.04 Firmware is accessible at the address 192.168.100.1:666
I have it connected to the coax line, Ethernet cat-5, power on, but no internet
Please guide me to the right direction.
I do know how to get to TCP/IPv4 properties screen
enter all that 192.168.100.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.100.1
from there what do I do next ? something to do with the 666, I don't know where to put them in.

Set your nic back to automatic and unplug the coax and try that addy again...if you still cannot get into sbmod then i will assume it needs to be reflashed.
