SB5101E Dropping Connections - naynesh - 19-03-2013

Hi
I'm with VM in UK and i have configured my modem SB5101E correctly (i think) and all works but I find it looses connection.

I ping google.com with a switch -t and i see it drops connections now and then

Any thoughts?

RE: SB5101E Dropping Connections - naynesh - 20-03-2013

ok guys, i'll get telnet report today.

Jut doing a ping test this morning and it all looks normal.

What are the correct setting in Haxoware to have(like steal options, basline privacy, settings)? anyone got a detailed setup for this firmware on SB5101E?

Also, what method works best getting MACs, i heard there's a telnet way?

typo, stealth

RE: SB5101E Dropping Connections - ABMJR - 20-03-2013

Stealth was a language issue when Rajko made/develped haxorware..
Should be "Spoof String" or Hardware/SW ID String or something along those lines to let the CMTS see what Firmware/Hardware the CM has and not push an update..
