Certificates & config. files; where does one obtain them? - cj47 - 08-07-2010

These "Certificates", exactly where does one get them? Are they specifc to the modem or the modem and the ISP?
Same question for a config file. Are they for the specific account, or for the ISP and the account.

I have a 5100 w/ the Sigma firmware and all I had to do was to enter the MAC and change the S/N. I now have a 5101 w/ Haxorware and I can't find anything concrete regarding any necessary changes to any of the other entries for my ISP (TWC/RR). This is after searching for a week. Angry

certs are specific to the modem
config files are downloaded when the modem first connects to the ctms(isp) and based on the mac (tho this sometimes can be changed)

if all you need to do with sigma is mac/sn just do the same with haxor (tho you may need to enter a frequency depending on how your modem was flashed)
