6141 Latest Firmware
#1
Hi everyone,

Where can I get the latest firmware to flash my modem. Having a slew of issues with my ISP. They won't update the modem so hoping that changing the firmware will help.

Appreciate any help.

As far as I know this SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.14-SCM01-NOSH.NNDMN is the latest, here you go (signed and unsigned)

Thank you sir. Any instructions on how to apply either signed or unsigned firmware - sorry but I'm not sure which version I would want to use.

Un-Signed. Signed has been forced by the ISP that signed it.

Awesome. What is easiest way to get this on the 6141 does it matter if I use a black cat or usbjtag nt? Also, if I use hooks do I need to do any soldering?

It is actually SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.14-SCM03.

Incorrect link, that leads to bat file

Could you explain to me what the different letters on the end mean? (trying to pick the best/correct one)

I think (if I am not mistaken) NOSH means 'No Shell', but I don't know what the others mean

Edit: by comparing the NNDMN and NNEMN I determined only difference is the digital sig, one is European an the other is North American. So only question remains is what is the difference between NOSH and M14? (could it mean 14 tuners?)

M14 means it does have shell?

If so, how to access?

MAC-14 is a test image, used for testing the signed firmware and upgrading/downgrading. SCM, i am not positive on but I believe it's just a small change version identifier.

If anyone wants, I can enable telnet/dropbear on this firmware for the lan side.
