5101 Wont go past receve light
#1
Hey guys quick question. I seem to be stumped as to why my 5101 will not pass the 2nd light (receive) as if the signal is not good. If I plug in my 5100 subbed box lights shoot straight through. Im getting

1970-01-01 00:01:25 Critical T001.0 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing
1970-01-01 00:01:24 Critical T002.0 SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire FEC framing

I already put a stock firmware back on and thought maybe I could try and see if lights pass using that but no dice. Anyone know what else I can try?

well you know your connection is good so i'd say bpi or mac
easyest fix tho is dump your subbed modem and extract the nonvol and flash that to your haxored modem

Thanks for the help Drew! Quick question: Will extracting a cert from my subbed 5100 work on a 5101? Also, why do other modded 5100's work with no issue but the 5101 need to have certs installed? I know here they did away wit DOCSIS 1.0. Does that have anythig to do with it?

yes the certs once extracted will be fine
i guess the issue is something to do with this (linking to google because cisco's webpages are huge)
