did you buy your modem from an official reseller? as you should ask whom ever you bought the modem from for product support

haha lol not as easy as 2 years ago, shits hard takes a lot of reading and understanding
cable modems have been abused to death mostly due to people selling them and thus the reason i hate sellers and buyer (if you cant flash your own modem you should not be trying to use one)
the cable co's have not taken it well and have tightened there security, there are holes but nobody will put them on the internet in fear of them being blocked

lots of people know the holes honestly they are not that hard to workout once you know how to find them
first you need to set up your modem to match a subscribed modem(eg payed for) easest way to do this is backup your own subbed modem and extract the nonvol and flash that to haxor using the backup/restore page
most of the time the above will get a modem working
if that fails you need to watch the telnet output while the modem is booting and watch for were it errors out

for the record mine did error i got past it by comparing the telnet output to my subbed modems telnet and 2 days of reading cisco's ctms doc's to understand what was going on

Does the sub modem have to be the exact same model?
