(iono if i was suppose to do that or not but yea.) now it connects but not to thhe modem i guess. it doesnt have the sb5100 tab either like i see on videos
oh and i dint solder the pins in i bought solderless pin and punched it in. does that work?
it says its
connected in dfu mode
flashmemory type :Atmel Avr Flash

and thats where im at not sure wat to do next. but yea im using a solderless pin. do those work?

RE: need help with sb5100
ahhh so it's a blackcat usb not a usbjtag (yes i know it's a jtag thats usb but thats not the same as a usbjtag)

anyways it's in dfu mode which means it ready for programming (the atmel chip on the blackcat)

1 click the avr firmware tab
2 load file (select the ejtag hex from the firmware folder)
3 click program
4 click load
5 connect your 5100 and try again

i hate it when people say i think, you need to be sure, how can i help you if you cant help yourself i cannot guess what your computer is doing i need concise information to be able to help you (rant over, ass mode off)

when you plug it in does it say ejtag instead of dfu mode? if yes we can move to the next step

when you plug the modem into the computer can you access the modem webpage? (power and ethernet only)

RE: need help with sb5100
well you can do anything if the blackcat is still in dfu

if the above method wont work do it again but instead of clicking start application unplug the blackcat and move both dip switches accross
