BLP Off command - kvant0x - 12-06-2015

What is purpose of BLP Off command, set through CLI on SB5101 diagnostic modem?
BLP Off - If 1, Turns off Baseline Privacy.

What use it could have is sniffing pub/priv key, but of course, the cmts priv is made up of cmMIC and cmtsMic, and never sent to modem, and the output cannot be derived from input..

So it is essentially useless......?

Well, it may (where you are) remove the encryption and hence show the cmts priv string in plain text, in theory of course Smile

But if the output of the cmMIC and cmtsMIC cannot be derived from the input, then I guess all YOUR traffic will be unencrypted, if sent at all with this switch turned off..
