SBG6580 Brick - vov4ik_il - 22-06-2019

Hi folks,
My first post..

I have a brick SBG6580, flash writer and TTL console... and hands.
A few questions:
Is there a good firmware I can use to flash it back to life?
Is there a modded firmware with drivers and busybox so I can use it as a bad router?
Is there anything else interesting to do with it?

I also have SBG6782AC which came to replace this one but it is as bad wireless and router as this one so I ran it as a modem only... Is there anything interesting for it too? :-)

Thanks for reading...

BR

sbg6580 isn't that stable of a device. sell it on cragslist and get a separate modem and router.

if you are going to flash it, use the latest stock firmware.

The idea is to 1. make this device a stable modem only if possible Or 2. repurpose. Or 3. Fix and sell

Where do I get latest (flashable) stock firmware?
What is the partition layout on flash? So I only overwrite what is needed and leave the certificates and any calibrations alone.
Is there any extended firmware build with more functionality (such as testing tools or ethernet over cable funtions)?
