Time Sync error?
#1
Hi, sorry im fairly new to this.

My SB5101 has been working for a while, but after daylights savings time, its been acting up.

For modem lights, its weird. I would get the first 3 lights solid, then the online light would be blinking, then after about 30 seconds, it would go back to receive light blinking and the whole process restarts again.

In haxorware, It scans, then succeeds it does everything okay, including setting up IP addresses and stuff.
What it gets stuck on, is Retrieve time of day...
thats always in progess and it goes back to scanning.

in the log, it says "SYNC timing synchronization failure"

Can anyone help me please?

Yes I am. I don't mind having to give that up. I just want it to work :]

Can you help?
Do I just have to disable it and delete the server ip and stuff?

I've been looking around. I see lots of stuff. So I have to get certs from a working one, then go upload it onto mine? Is that it? Or do I have it totally confused...

yes thats more or less it (tho it is easier just to take the entire nonvol if you can)

Oh shoot, so if I have a friend with a working haxorware, I can go download his nonvol and upload it into mine? Will that work?

It may work if your friend does not live within your node/neighborhood. it aslo depends on which "settings" are working for your friend. Look at his Baseline Privacy settings....if it is set at Doc 1.1....all you have to do is download his non-vol and upload to your modem, and you will have an exact clone with the same mac. However, if your friend's modem is still operational on Doc 1.0, it may not work, as he probably just has a valid mac in his hacked modem.
