Question about CC Activation page
#1
I have a 5101, that used to have Haxo on it...i flashed SB5101-2.4.1.6-SCM02-NOSH.bin to it thru haxorware & i get all lights and can get to the motorola config menu..when i try to go to a website, it brings me to the CC activation page...I want to use this modem as a sub, i'm thinking as long as i have all lights and it brings me to that page, all i have to do is call and get it provisioned correct? Another words its not a bad modem and i flashed it "back to stock" correctly? please let me know if i'm good to go...thx.

Yes...Provision it, provided the serial # (maybe they wont ask?) is valid as is the HFC MAC..

CC won'task for the serial. Just make sure that hax is not there when you provision it.

ok thx guys...and that's kinda what I was asking southernyankey, since I flashed that stock bin thru haxorware, haxorware is gone right? don't need hax anymore or any problems with CC after its provisioned

if im not mistaken you are good with lite as long as the cmts can see you as in the settings are correct like not disabling snmp and using port 161 BUT
it will more than likely be overwritten with the firmwre push during provisioning unless you have the right spoof but then you wont have the co-cvc either unless you have read how to do that without the push then so best bet is to flash to stock then provision
after that put lite on it but then again let them see you

Dont disable SNMP after registration..and allow updates..

Pointless to have Hax on it to provision it as CC will overwrite it with their signed firm. You can put it back on your sub after you get the signed firm if you want.

Awesome, great info...now what to do with the 5100 with Sigma X2 on it...hmmm, does all the same things the 5101 does as far as the CC page, tried to reflash with the original dump but sigma remains on the "1337" page...would like to return that stock & give it to my sister to be a sub modem.
