SB 5101 and SB6120

Hi,
Pls forgive me if I ask a dump questions here. I just have a virgin SB5101 and SB61120. By reading a lot of infos from this site make my head going Hawaii. IS it possible that I hack this modem without using jtag -- it is strictly haxorware firmware and config file? Second Can I do a same thing with SB6120.

Your best bet is to use the usbjtagnt. It is capable of flashing both those modems. Unless you really know what you are doing, you would probably "brick" your modem without using the jtag.

True, but I don't think their jtag supports the 6120

Thank you all -- I migh have to buy that jtag. FYI there is a tool you can mod it as factory mod called 'factory tool', but I do not know how it work yet.
