Can I hack it?

What can I do with it?

Is it better than my NetGear N900 / WNDR4500?

What is the standard of obtaining such information on this site?

I'm fairly techy, I can disassemble, take HQ pics, take off MOST heatsinks (depending on if soldered/uses thermal paste) to expose the numbers and what not on chips.

What would be a good example topic so I can get all the right pics of the right chips for you guys!

OR My job sells the following modems, should just get one of those?

Leave it alone if you are leasing it from CC...not worth the hassle to take it all apart and have to worry about keeping the stickers intact. Just buy something to play with instead. Just a thought. I would ask MgnForce if it is supported before I took it apart..

Who's that? And drewmerc said he doesn't know if it's supported without knowing what's inside it.

I don't care about the lease, I got around it any ways.

As far as comcast is concerned, I own my modem Wink

Also, I LOVE ripping things apart, so it'll be a + no matter what!

MForce is the coder of forceware, so he may already know what's inside, he may(will) be more likely to google it than me

SB6580 modem router is usb NTjtag.
Sot/bin is ECOS type. 5100 modem has the same type ECOS soft

There is new excellent bin for it by comcrap, they dwnlded it on my modem, but later they downloaded the older bin, do not know why.

This banned superRAT abm just loved those modem/router.
There is managerial/testing bin sometimes downloaded to modem, just to check/test lines/cable connections without sending a technician to test it.
If u have such a bin, u always gonna be on line.
