How did you managed to take the bloody modem apart? All screws off and can't pry it open.

are you sure, the ones under the labels? and you press the top and bottom in and there are clips holding it

while is absolutely not recommended if you run out of patience "break the glass" then use silicone or any glue you like but before make sure you checked every hidden inch, labels and stickers are there for a reason which is not FCC requirements or identification.

i had no issue, also heating with a hair dryer helps a ton for stickers and that label on the back and if you have one with the glass that has glue on it too, then you gota heat it a little.
