Forced SB6120 & UnMod AMBIT - Confirmation
So I have a subbed AMbit from my local Charter account that I would like to get a cloned SB6120 working to test MAX speed in my area.

They just finished new Fiber install this summer... Wondering what is possible.

Anyhooo, Would someone confirm the following for me.
1. To get the certs from my subbed AMBIT I will need to open modem and connect with my Blackcat USB.
2. On subbed modem do I need to be in SPI or JTAG mode?
3. What method would be receomended to obtain Certs. Full Dump?
4. I have Forceware on my 6120 and cann connect. SHould I use the GUI to upload certs and set the mac?
5. Can I mod the config to uncap and test max thouroughput?

I scanned for hours this weekend and these five questions are onces that I could not confirm.
Thanks a bunch in advanced.

I have some salvaged solder guns that I could help out with.
Hint Hint....

testing is hard if your not thinking "outside" the box.

1. The model is a U10C018 Modem.
2. Using the Blackcat USB is there a pinout available do you know to the U10C018 Modem?
3. Sorry about the configs, but I put away the SB project for over 6 months and just now am finding time. I guess alot has changed in my absence.

The hint is that I am always willing to help out those who help me out....I know how hard a good iron can be to get and our manufacturing floor just threw out 5 and I saved them...

Thanks...

Great I will wire up when I get back from work trip and see if I can extract.

From there I will need to extract the cert's to load onto 6120.

How is the modem uncapped nowdays if mod'n the configs is outdated?

Uncapping is no more unless your ISP is in the dark ages or just doesn't care...Most ISP's Have killed off all the really fun stuff we used to do with these but you can still test if you'r not a freetard and do not mind working for it.

Your U10C018 Modem is a d2 modem so its hard to make it work with your sb6120 which is a d3 modem. You should have both ANOTHER U10C018 Modem and not the expensive sb6120. In new security you can only use the tier of the sub mac.
