so ive modded it to the correct numbering, this should stop a lot of people moaning thier blackcat cant connect

Unbuffered Jtag Schematics for Surfboards and WebSTARs

note : pins 2 and 7 both need to be connected to GND
pin 8 is not used, and resistors are optional

Pins 2 & 7 may need connecting to Gnd for best results, pin 8 is not used.

Would the webstar layout work for the Netgear modem as well. I am trying to program my netgear cable modem with an unbuffered jtag cable

RE: Parallel JTAG Schematics
Can I connect motorola sb5101e directly to lpt-port (as it is drawn on the picture) to jtag it (for further flashing)?

I`ve opened my sb5101 (motorola) and there are no pins (2*5) as it is drawn. There are 2 groups of holes instead. In front of rj45 socket 4+6 (groups "J304" & "J303" in two rows, and lower (in front of usb-socket) 2*5 (group "J201"). Which one of them should I connect wires from the scheme to?

What is the difference between buffered and simple scheme of connection (if I can use simple, it is much easier for me)?
